Compact and Repair DatabaseShrink your .MDB file so it can be emailed. The MSAccess Compact and Repair facility reduces the size of your database. Most databases can be compacted to less than 2 Mbytes, then zipped into a file less than 500 KBytes for email (I use WinZip). MSAccess seems to leave data holes in your application as you add and delete components and data. Often an application can grow beyond 10 Mbyte and be compacted back down to less than 2 Mbyte. The size shrinkage is often staggering! How From MSAccess choose Tools, then DataBase Utilities, then Compact and Repair Database.
